Abstract | The current study aimed to investigate the psychometrics of a recently developed self-reported questionnaire for swallowing related quality-of-life assessment, the Swallowing Activity and Participation Profile. This questionnaire adopted ICF framework and one consistent scale throughout the whole questionnaire to give convenience to clinicians and patients. Twenty-seven participants, including 14 non-swallowing disordered and 13 swallowing disordered, were participated in the study for the validation of the questionnaire. The results demonstrated good construct validity and convergent validity of the questionnaire. The finding suggested the questionnaire can contribute the assessment of swallowing related quality of life in geriatric populations. |
