Abstract | The discourse of localizing age-friendly city of Hong Kong is challenging the policy-makers’ institutional mindset in addressing the pressing issue of ageing population. Starting from designing a single unit in public housing for the elderly use, the initiative generates a holistic approach to involve an interdisciplinary collaboration as well as the engagement of the elderly. As an evolving process, this social innovation practice is building a grounded foundation for the construct of the E-pathy City. |
