Abstract | Objective. To investigate the global fibrinolytic capacity (GFC) in the patients with acute myocardial. Methods. Forty-two consecutive patients (31 men and 11 women, age 31-78 years, 61.83 ±10.83) with AMI. Twenty-two of them (thrombolytic group) were treated with UK, The other 20 patients (heparin group) were only received heparin. The determination of fibrinogen concentration by Clauss method, t-PA by ELISA method, D-dimer by immunometric flow-throught method. Result, (i) The fibrinogen concentration declined significantly in thrombolytic group. During the first 0.5-12 h after urokinase the patients with AMI attained transitory hypofibrinogenemia. From the 24th hour to the 7th day, fibrinogen concentration rebounded over the one before treatment; (ii) PLG decreased and t-PA increased immediately after administration of UK; however, the levels of PAI increased during thrombolytic therapy, then decreased slightly after UK; (iii) The GFCs were at low level before administration, then raised within 0.5-6 h after urokinase. Zero to 72 h after UK, GFCs returned to low levels as being seen before administration. Conclusion. GFC allows evaluating the body's fibrinolytic potential more exactly than other fibrinolytic parameters and may be useful in predicting the clinical outcomes and gives an individual direction to how to use the thrombolytic drugs in AMT patients. |
