| Description | In this Panel Discussion Professor Dyzenhaus will explore the idea of the ‘authoritarian rule of law’: ‘the social practice of conducting authoritarian politics by legal means.’ To do so he considers a range of states including Nazi Germany, apartheid South Africa, and Israel and the Occupied Territories. Through an evaluation of the politics of legal space he considers a question he treats as central to the philosophy of law: ‘But, how can that be law for me?’
Joining the discussion are colleagues from the Faculty of Law who will explore general and local issues raised by Professor Dyzenhaus’s insights into the rule of law. |
