Abstract | We investigate electronic transport through single-wall carbon nanotubes connected to Nb electrodes. At 4.2 K, we find that the transparency of the Nb/nanotube contact is increased by applying a negative voltage to a nearby gate electrode and that the nanotube differential resistance has a dip at low bias when the transparency is tuned to be high. Our results demonstrate a gate-controllable superconducting proximity effect in nanotubes. |
