Abstract | Gut microbiota play critical roles in the development of colorectal cancer (CRC) metastasis, but the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. This review discusses the molecular mechanisms by which the gut microbiota contribute to a tumor-permissive microenvironment and facilitate malignant transformation and dissemination of tumor cells, thereby mediating CRC metastasis. |
