| Abstract | This case commentary discussed on the ethico-legal dilemmas in which the hospital multi-disciplinary team recommended careful hand feeding in their advance care planning for an advanced dementia patient whose swallowing was judged unsafe by the speech therapist, but the aged home staff did not have the supporting practice (education, operational policy and human resources) and expressed litigation concern.
