| dc.description.abstract |
Glaucoma is an eye disease. In severe cases it can lead to blindness. Due to the Corvis ST, the corneal
deformation process can be recorded by videos. The data of some biomechanical parameters can be found through these videos. Many relevant experiments have revealed some parameters that were statistically significant correlation between glaucoma and normal groups such as the intraocular pressure. Finding some new biomechanical parameters will advance the diagnostic technology for glaucoma. This study aims to introduce the symmetry factors of the cornea between the glaucoma and control groups. In the past, little research has been done on the symmetry factors. But due to the differences in the biomechanical properties, whether there is a significant difference in symmetry between glaucoma eyeballs and normal eyeballs before and after the deformation is worthy of further research. In this study, twelve parameters are included: intraocular pressure (IOP), curvature radius, age, gender, deformation amplitude of eyeball (DA), maximum inward velocity (Vin_max) and maximum outward velocity (Vout_max) of cornea, time to DA (Time_DA), area difference and three symmetry factors (S1, S2, S3).
| - |
