Abstract3D porous boron nitride (BN) foam with thin boron nitride nanosheets walls has been prepared by a in situ templet-free foaming reaction with ammonia borane and thiourea. Thiourea serves as foaming agent in the synthesis and frothing the precursor into Three-dimensional (3D) structure BN foam with thin walls. The products are hierarchically porous with large area of rough surfaces, presenting high adsorption of N 2 /CO 2 . Typically, for CO 2 adsorption, it could reach up to 150 ml/g under 50 bar at room temperature.
