AbstractThree-stage, 1-kHz amplifier system has been developed delivering 1-mJ, 6-fs pulses. These pulses were reached by compressing the output pulse of the third amplifier stage with a Neon filled hollow-fiber and broadband chirp-mirror compressor. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
