AbstractA method to determine duration and chirp of a single attosecond x-ray pulse in the presence of a strong low-frequency laser field was presented. It was found that the energy and angular distribution of electron generated by photoionozation depends on the phase of the laser field at the time of ionization. The analysis showed the use of phase dependence of electron, generated by photoionization, to measure the duration and chirp of single sub100-attosecond x-ray pulses.
