AbstractWe report the first mode-locked Ho:YAG thin-disk oscillator delivering 270-fs pulses at 28 W average power and 2090 nm central wavelength. The output parameters constitute the shortest pulse duration and highest average power of any mode-locked oscillator around 2 μm.
