AbstractThis study takes the Loess Plateau as the object, discusses the geological factors affecting the geological storage of carbon dioxide in the complex geomorphic feature area, and estimates the geological reserves. The purpose is to deeply understand the influence of different geological factors on carbon dioxide geological storage, and to provide scientific basis for carbon dioxide emission reduction and geological environment management in China.(Guo Jianqiang et al.,2015) The research process includes analyzing the influence of geological structure, rock type and other factors on the effect of geological storage in domestic and foreign geological storage engineering cases, systematically evaluating the geological conditions in the Loess Plateau area, and exploring the factors that should be considered when using numerical simulation methods to predict the geological storage of carbon dioxide. This study addresses the key issues of geological sequestration in complex landforms, identifies the main geological factors affecting the sequestration effect, reveals the effects of geological disturbances on reservoir stability and cap integrity, and evaluates the potential of carbon dioxide sequestration in the Loess Plateau.(Wang Pin et al.,2015) The results show that the Loess Plateau has a certain geological storage potential of carbon dioxide, which provides important theoretical support and practical guidance for the implementation of carbon capture and storage technology.
