AbstractOptical invisibility is highly sought-after for its wide range of applications from display technologies to military operations. Previous cloaks mainly operated at microwave and infrared frequencies1-3. They were mostly limited to two-dimensional amplitude cloaking, and required a hosting cloak medium much thicker than the cloaked region, making them impractical for practical applications1-4. Here we demonstrate a novel 3D carpet cloak at visible wavelengths using ultra-thin metasurface nanoantennas.
