AbstractRecent developments in syntheses and electrocatalytic properties of mixed metal nanoparticles will be briefly reviewed specifically for applications in fuel cells. Various metals such as pure platinum and platinum-ruthenium will be discussed. The role of nanostructured supports for the nanoparticles, such as ordered mesoporous carbon, will also be discussed.
