AbstractA 67 years old male presented with 5 years history of paroxysmal symptomatic narrow complex tachycardia. The resting electrocardiogram showed a short PR interval and a delta wave compatible with the Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. An electrophysiological study documented the presence of a left posteroseptal accessory pathway. Radiofrequency catheter ablation of the left posteroseptal accessory pathway was performed through a patent foramen ovale, resulting in elimination of the pre-excitation and permanent cure of the arrhythmia. A case report and the approach to catheter ablation are discussed with a review of the literature. (J HK Coll Cardiol 1998; 6:108-113)
