AbstractThe vortex dynamics of a d-wave superconductor with a regular array of pinning centers is studied numerically by solving the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations. The vortex lattice configurations in systems with triangular and square arrays of pinning sites are presented for different magnetic fields. Peaks in the critical current are observed at matching fields for a triangular array of defects, while "kinks" are formed in the critical-field curves for a square array of defects. The behavior of magnetoresistivity can also be given by the information of commensurability. © 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
