AbstractIn the practical design of filter banks, the number of design parameters increases as the number of channels and the filter order increase. A new algorithm based on the adjacent near-power complementary property was proposed for linear-phase paraunitary filter banks. Simulations show that the newly proposed property accelerated the initialization process of the design process, in case when the number of channels was large and the filter length was long.
