AbstractOn the Xingguang II laser facilities, the soft X-ray spectra of a laser produced plasma of highly ionized 74W in wavelength range 0.36-0.52nm have been investigated with a plane crystal spectrograph. Four resonance lines in Ni-like ions, sixteen broad, characteristic, pseudo-continuous transition bands in Cu-, Zn-, Ca- and Ge-like ions, were measured and identified. The results show that the relativistic Spin-orbit-Split Arrays (SOSA) model, a particular case of Unresolved Transition Arrays (UTA), and the X method were proved by using this analysis: The succinct formulas of mean wavelength vs ionized stage are achieved. The data of experiment and calculation have important signification for plasma diagnostics.
