AbstractThe evolution and dynamics of Bianchi type I and V Universes is considered in the framework of the varying speed of light theory. Einstein's field equations with a variable speed of light c = c(t), gravitational coupling G = G(t) and decaying vacuum energy density Λ = Λ(t) are considered as describing matter creation in a cosmological framework. The particle creation rate is uniquely determined by the variation rates of c, and G and Λ. By considering simple phenomenological evolution laws for the "constants," exact analytical and numerical solutions of the gravitational field equations are obtained, leading to a self-consistent cosmological model describing matter and entropy generation in anisotropic Universes. In the limit of large times the mean anisotropy tends to zero, thus the time variation of the fundamental constants providing an effective mechanism for the isotropization of the Universe.
