AbstractSince 1980 there have been 11 incidents involving red tides, causing fish kills in the local mariculture industry and which posed potential socio-economic and health risk problems. A management strategy, consisting of an action scheme and a supportive scheme, has therefore been developed. The development of this management strategy together with its possible application to countries with similar problems are discussed. -from Authors
