AbstractWe investigated in a real-life setting if entity theorists are less likely than incremental theorists to change their perception of a target person accordingly with the person’s behavioral changes. While supporting our hypothesis, this study complements previous laboratory studies in implicit personality theory by addressing overlooked ecological validity concerns.
