AbstractA fatal case of bilateral simultaneous femoral neck fractures in a 13-year-old girl was reported. Post-mortem and histological examinations showed that avascular necrosis was not inevitable even in grossly displaced fractures. Fixation in valgus should be avoided in order to preserve the remaining inferior retinaculum.
