AbstractIntroducing Classroom Interaction is an investigation into the complexities of language classroom teaching and learning which will enable teachers to better analyze their own classrooms. The book examines the interaction between teachers and their students and between the students themselves. It will help teachers to develop sensitivity towards the language they use and to analyze student participation and learning. It introduces methods of systemic observation offering guidelines and techniques for analysis. Data from language classrooms is used throughout and there are tasks giving teachers the opportunity to consider the issued raised in the book.
