AbstractAfter escaping from Taylorism and Fordism, scholars realized how important it is to manage the human recourses in order to achieve high performance. Many empirical studies that addressed the outcomes of human resource management such as job satisfaction, motivation, and organizational commitment are piling up. We then conduct meta-regression analysis of 170 empirical studies to examine the determinants that have an impact on the outcomes of human resource management. We attempt to categorize the main variables: personal traits, institutional systems, and organizational resource. Data are collected from the databases on Web of Science. All papers including our data are published in academic journals in the fields of public administration, public management and public policy since 2000. This study will contribute to be better understanding of the outcomes of human resource management by integrating finding across empirical studies.
