AbstractIn this talk, we will present our work of utilizing data analytics and simulation modeling for analyzing operations at a hospital emergency department in Hong Kong. We developed a calibration procedure to improve the performance of our simulation model. This simulation model can be used to assess the outcomes of different scenarios and strategies for enhancing system efficiency. Simulation-optimization approaches were also developed to determine resource allocation decisions.
