AbstractOne-dimensional capacitor behavior is reported for electrolytes confined in a nanopore. The electrical behavior of a 0.1 M electrolyte confined in a nanopore is studied by equilibrium and nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations. For an electrolyte in a nanopore with a radius of 4.5 Å, capacitance character is exhibited at low frequencies. A unique feature of the maximum conductivity at a resonance frequency corresponds to RLC equivalent circuit behavior.
