AbstractEight different geophysical techniques have been applied to assess slope stability and retaining wall conditions in Hong Kong. Among these methods, ground penetrating radar and resistivity have yielded results that were most consistent with geotechnical information. Other methods, such as seismic reflection and refraction, spectral analysis of surface wave, electromagnetic, and thermal imaging, did not produce the consistency or resolution needed for geotechnical investigation.
