Grant Type
General Research Fund (GRF)
Funding Year
2017
Status
Completed
Objectives
1 To characterize the role of PRMT6 in regulating Warburg effect and metabolic activity of PKM2 in HCC. 2 To delineate the underlying molecular mechanism by which PRMT6 down-regulation in HCC contributes to metabolic reprogramming, with particular reference to IRS4/PI3K/AKT/mTOR/PKM2 signaling. 3 To evaluate the clinico-pathological relevance and prognostic significance of PRMT6 in combination with PKM2 in human HCC.
