Objectives
1) To identify significant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Hong Kong prefabrication hub feasibility assessment based on the statistical analysis of practitioners’ opinions through questionnaire survey and results validation via interviews; 2) To propose a mathematical model that evaluates the prefabrication hub utility for industrial stakeholders such as prefab manufacturers and transportation companies from financial, environmental, and technological aspects; 3) To simulate the result by using the data from survey to examine the operations of the prefabrication hub for various stakeholders; 4) To draw some useful insights for operating the prefabrication hub based on key findings and observations from the proposed models, and; 5) To propose some public policies based on the research findings to support construction industry in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area (GBA).
