Dr Tai, Chung Pui 戴忠沛
Dr. Chung-Pui Tai conducts research on the teaching and learning of Chinese as a second language for local non-Chinese speaking students. He received his PhD (Historical Linguistics) at the Institute of Ethnology in Beijing; his MPhil (Linguistics) at HKU; and his BEd (Language Education) at HKU. He is also interested in the history of local South Asian ethnic communities, and the literacy of non-Chinese speaking minorities in Sinophonic societies, for example the use of Zhuang character writing in Guangxi, China.
