Professor Abraham Wai 衞家聰
Dr. Abraham Wai joined HKU in 2017. He received his medical degree and law degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong at 2004 and 2010 respectively, MBA at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2013 and Masters of Clinical Education at University of Edinburgh in 2018. He obtained his higher doctorate by research (Doctor of Medicine) in HKU in 2024.
Before joining HKU, Abraham has been an experienced medical teacher in Hong Kong. In HKU, he further developed in clinical simulation and leadership education with five successful awards of Teaching & Development Grant, leading to the Faculty Teaching Medal in 2021 and HKU Early Career Teaching Award in 2022. In addition to his role as Consultant Emergency Physician, Abraham has taken up the role of Master in HKU-Shenzhen Hospital to develop whole-person development among young doctors in Shenzhen. He leads the development of international specialist training in Shenzhen.
