Short Biography:
Dr Yuankang Xiong is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Real Estate and Construction at The University of Hong Kong. Prior to this appointment, he served as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Department. He collaborates closely with Professor Xiaoling Zhang on various research projects.
Dr Xiong holds a B.S. in Geographic Information Science, an M.S. in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science. His research focuses on mapping large-scale land cover and land use changes, examining human-climate interactions, and modeling future climate scenarios using Earth system models.
