AbstractDynamic Contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) is useful for estimating the tumor malignancy because the contrast enhancement pattern reflects the perfusion and permeability of the tumor as well as the tumor angiogenesis. In this study we investigated the relationship between semi-quantitative contrast enhancement parameters in dynamic DCE-MRI and the diagnosing staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and the correlation between these parameters and PET-CT scanning. Our results showed that some parameters from semi-quantitative analysis of DCE-MRI significantly correlate with the T stages of NPC tumors, but not with PET-CT parameter.
