Abstract | The Maehly approximation theory is proposed to obtain the frequency response of scattering problems over a broad frequency band. The method of moments (MOM) is applied at given frequency points to form a Chebyshev approximation for the surface current. And the Chebyshev series is matched to be a rational function via Maehly approximation to improve the accuracy. The PMCHW equation is applied to the scattering analysis of arbitrarily shaped dielectric objects and Nth-order dispersive objects over a broad frequency band. It is shown by the simulation that the Maehly approximation method is found to be efficient for scattering analysis over a broad frequency band with low memory consumption. |
