AbstractAnticontrol of chaos in permanent magnet DC motors is proposed by combining the open-loop input voltage with the rotor speed and the armature current time-delay feedback voltages respectively. This kind of methods makes the boundaries of chaotic rotor speed controllable. Based on the theoretical analysis of anticontrol of chaos in permanent DC motors, the analytical formulas of the design of the open-loop input voltage and time-delay feedback voltages are presented. The computer simulation is given to verify the theoretical analysis. Both periodic and chaotic waveforms and trajectories of the rotor speed are figured out. Moreover, the Lyapunov exponents are also calculated to verify the exhibit of chaos.
