AbstractTo support the file transferring in deep space communication environment, the asynchronous NAK mode of CCSDS File Delivery Protocol was analyzed. For the single-hop point-to-point file transfer operation, a deferred-asynchronous trigger method and ARQ timer setting rule was proposed, which minimized the expected time taken to transfer a file under the constraint of the maximized throughput efficiency. Performance measures are mainly concerned for the expected file delivery time comparing it with deferred NAK mode. The simulation results show that the deferred-asynchronous NAK mode has a better performance in conditions.
