AbstractThe development of low frequency fast solvers such as low-frequency multilevel fast multipole algorithm (LF-MLFMA) for electromagnetic solvers, was investigated. The contact-region modeling was applied to convert composite structure problem into a multi-region problem, and a special version of MLFMA for electrically small structures was employed to solve problem with O(N) CPU time and memory usage. The cross-talk simulation in time domain could be obtained by obtaining the S-parameters of wires used to model signal lines in chip. The wires were modeled with a four-port network and described with S parameters over broad frequency range.
