AbstractThe 21st century world shaped by rapid technological advancement has resulted in shifting demands for societies. Routine and manual works are increasingly replaced by machines and jobs now emphasize more on critical thinking and collaboration (Levy & Murname, 2004). As a result, a new set of skills is expected to be developed by students. This paper presents findings suggesting that inquiry learning, collaborative teaching and use of Web 2.0 technologies are effective in facilitating the development of students’ 21st century skills. The teachers’ and students’ perceptions also give insights on how the pedagogies could be best implemented.
