AbstractThe current research showed that sexual objectification was positively associated with materialism and aspiration for money in women (Study 1) and experimentally manipulated objectification led women to report stronger desire for money (Studies 2 and 3). Further, the feeling of insecurity mediated the effect of sexual objectification on money desire.
