AbstractIn two studies, we found that excluded people were more likely to behave unethically by taking undeserved advantage. Furthermore, a sense of entitlement to more resources mediated this relationship. We explain these results in terms of people's perceived entitlement to compensatory resources following the deprivation of resources by social exclusion.
