Abstract | A modified fast steepest descent path algorithm (FASDPA) is proposed. It interpolates the far-field pattern of the source group and match it along a modified steepest descent path. The computational cost of the FASDPA is lower than that of fast multipole method and ray-propagation fast multipole algorithm, both for two-level and multi-level implementations. The method has inherent advantages such as simplicity and ease of diagonalization. |
