Abstract | Three-dimensional (3-D) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) schemes for transient simulation of electromagnetic wave propagation in complex (inhomogeneous, dispersive and conductive) media and cylindrical coordinates are presented. The schemes incorporate an extension of the perfectly matched layer (PML) absorbing boundary condition (ABC) to 3-D cylindrical coordinates. Dispersion in the media is incorporated through the use of piecewise-linear recursive convolution (PLRC). Numerical simulation results are included. |
