Abstract | The goal of this interactive panel is to examine how the learning sciences can contribute to learning and assessment of 21st century skills. Although it is widely acknowledged that assessment drives learning, the communities that focus on the effectiveness of learning environments and those that focus on valid and reliable assessment co-exist in parallel, rather than in harmony. In addition, across the learning sciences and assessment communities there may be different priorities or “obsessions” when it comes to assessment of 21st century skills. |
