Abstract | The sensitivity deterioration problem of Sectorial Split-Drain MAGFET (SSD-MAGFET) under high frequency rotation magnetic field is studied in this paper. The physical property behind the deterioration is explained, which leads to a design trade-off between the following three performance parameters of a magnetic field sensor constructed by the SSDMAGFET sensor with hard threshold detector: the operating frequency of the rotation magnetic field, the noise margin, and the sensitivity. Experiment results further showed that the sensitivity of the SSD-MAGFET under rotating magnetic field is biasing condition dependent, and there exists an optimal biasing condition that can achieve the best trade-off of the above three performance parameters.
