AbstractThis paper studies the synchronization problem of a dynamical network with event-based communication, where each node communicates to its neighbors only when an event-triggering condition is fulfi_lled. In order to achieve asymptotic synchronization as well as to prevent the occurrence of Zeno behavior, estimators are introduced into each node to estimate the current state of its neighbors and of its own. Then, with the assistance of these estimators, a distributed event-triggering rule is designed, which only depends on the information that the node can obtain, and thus can be implemented in a decentralized way. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed results.
