AbstractThis paper introduces an artificial bee colony algorithm to solve the shared bikes repositioning problem. A modified version is proposed to improve the solution quality of the original version. Two objectives, minimizing total duration and minimizing maximum duration, are examined to show their relationships with the number of operating vehicles.. The trade-off between the service duration and the tolerance of demand dissatisfaction is also illustrated.
