AbstractThis paper presents a new boundary element analysis to solve elastic problems in layered halfspace whose material interface is non-horizontal to the horizontal boundary surface. Generalized Kelvin solutions (or Yue’s solutions) are applied as the fundamental solutions. Infinite boundary elements and Kutt’s numerical quadrature are applied to solve the influence of the far-field areas and strongly singular integrals, respectively. Finally, numerical examples show the influence of material interface for the distributions of displacements and stresses.
