AbstractDental caries has a significant impact on the quality of life on children, causing pain, infection and other impacts. Good oral health is a fundamental element of good general health of children. Dental caries remains very common in children in many countries. This lecture discussed how dental professionals can work with the community to identify the caries problems; to implement appropriate and effective community oral health programs to improve oral health and to reduce oral health inequalities in the communities.
