Abstract | Instructional design (ID) as a new profession is now showing its significant role in higher education, especially in a need of emergency remote teaching under the COVID-19 pandemic. However, only scattered studies regarding ID talent cultivation in higher education can be witnessed. In this paper, we introduced a professional development mechanism, the instructional design assistant mentorship scheme, showing how mentorship functioned well in cultivating ID talents to support the university-wide virtual instructions and guarantee the university teaching quality. |
